Exploring
The rich rolling hills of the Sunshine
Coast Hinterland beckon. The subtropical countryside coupled
with impressive old goldfields architecture make for memorable
scenic drives.
To the west, perched atop the Blackall
Range, quaint villages such as Montville and Maleny,
offer interesting shopping and dining experiences. The
road linking the 4 four villages clinging to the escarpment
offers breathtaking views of the coast and the spectacular
Glass House Mountains. |

Places like Palmwoods, Buderim, Yandina, Eumundi,
Cooroy, Pomona and Kin Kin have made the most of their natural
assets, adding markets, coffee shops, craft galleries and other
drawcards to their traditional attractions and are well worth
visiting.
A little further north, Gympie was
born when James Nash struck gold more than 130 years ago. Today,
you can still try your luck panning for gold, visit the Historical
Mining Museum or see woodworks demonstrations. The Mary Valley
Heritage Railway with its Valley Rattler steam train celebrates
the town's past. All within an easy drive from Mooloolaba Holiday Apartments. |
